What all documents do need to be submitted to upgrade the card?
You need to carry any Know your customer document (KYC) documents which gives your address proof and id proof to get an all services open loop DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card. To get an essential services DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card no documents are required. You can also upgrade your essential services Freedom Card to an all services open loop Freedom Card by submitting your KYC documents any time. It takes three days to upgrade your card.

You can start using your DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card immediately for essential services payments like, Rail & Air e-Ticket booking, Utility Bill Payments, Mobile Recharge, Mobile Post Paid Bill Payment, DTH Subscription Renewals, Government Services like Property Tax, Water bill payments etc. and for payments to service providers that have tied-up with Itz Cash Card Ltd.

Know Your Customer (KYC) is a mandatory set of identity, signature and address proof documents as prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) that is required to upgrade your Freedom Card as an all-service open loop card.

If you wish to upgrade the DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card, at the time of purchase or after purchasing Freedom Card, you need to submit your KYC details for verification. You need to submit copy below mentioned documents along with the KYC form that has been included in the Welcome Kit. To obtain a copy of the KYC form please click here. Your card will be upgraded within 3 working days of submission of KYC documents subject to meeting KYC requirements. You will be notified of the same by a SMS. You can contact the call center in case of no confirmation.
What is the validity of my DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card?
The DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card validity is 5 years from date of manufacture. Expiry date of the card is printed on the card plastic.

If your DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card is not upgraded to an all services card you can reload your card to a maximum amount of Rs 10000/-. If your DCB ITZ Freedom Prepaid Card is upgraded, you can reload the card to a maximum amount of Rs. 50000/-.You can reload your DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card in multiples of Rs. 250 only. Additionally the card can be loaded for up to a maximum of Rs 6 lakhs in a year subject to meeting of KYC requirements

Are there any charges for cash withdrawal from ATMs?
There are no charges for cash withdrawal at any Development Credit Bank ATM, however for withdrawals at other Bank ATMs you will have to pay a charge of Rs.30 per transaction inclusive of taxes

Any Information, I should know about before I shop?
At any merchant establishment do not let the merchant manually enter the card details on the POS (point of sale) machine as the payment will not go through. Always ensure the merchant swipes the card on the POS (point of sale terminal).
Do not use the card for temporary transaction. If the same has been done please ask the merchant to use the same authorization code for final settlement to avoid double debit.
How do I know the balance on my DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card?
You will get a transaction alert SMS after each transaction you make showing the balance on your card. You can get to know the balance of your DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card by:

What happens if purchase amount is more than the balance Amount?
If you try to purchase an item of greater value than your card balance, your transaction will be declined.
What is the process if I want to cancel a purchase?
If you want to cancel a purchase contact the merchant, who will raise a reversal against the charge slip which has been generated. It will take 2 days for amount to reflect to your card, once the merchant raise the reversal. Contact your merchant for specific details.

What if one of the posted transactions on my account is not legitimate at merchant location?

What happens if my DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card expires?
You may request a new card before your existing card expires. The balance amount from your existing card will be transferred to your new card. A reissuance amount will be debited from the available card balance.
In case you do not wish a new card to be issued then you can place a request for cash out / card closure at your nearest ItzCash World Outlet. The amount will be refunded to you by ItzCash World Outlet. You can visit the same ItzCash World Outlet for refund once you receive a confirmation of card closure through SMS.
What happens if I do not use my DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card?
As a precaution if you do not use your DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card for a period of 6 months your card will get locked. To activate your card you can simply contact our Call Center at 07666155220 to unlock your card. Unlocking charges will be applicable.
Can I use my DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card while travelling outside of India?
The DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card can only be used within India only. No foreign currency transactions are permitted.
What alerts will I receive?
You will receive an SMS alert on every debit and credit on your card. Also an alert will be sent when your DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card is upgraded or downgraded.
What happens if my ATM / Web /IVR password gets locked?
Please contact the call center at 076 66155220 and place a request to unlock or reset the password. You need to answer security validation questions to proceed the password unlock or reset request.
How do I know card is genuine?
To ensure your DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card is genuine look for the Visa hologram on the reverse of the card. Kindly ensure that when you purchase the DCB ITZ Freedom Card, the card kit is not tampered.

CVV code is a card verification code is a 3 digit number, usually on the back of your DCB ITZ Cash Freedom Prepaid Card just after the account number that uniquely identifies the card issued to a cardholder. This is another measure to safeguard your card. Visa can match the card verification code against its own records to help verify that the person trying to register for the service is in physical possession of the card, and likely to be the rightful owner of the card.

Any Special Information, I should know about before I shop?
There are special types of transactions that you should know about.
IRCTC Railway Booking Transaction – IRCTC Railway booking transaction will charge extra “Service Fee” to make online ticket booking. Thus make sure that your card will have additional balance other than actual ticket cost to pay the service fee.
Restaurants – While signing the “Bill Receipt”, if you have mentioned the TIP amount on the Bill Receipt then additional TIP amount will get debited from your card along with actual bill amount. Make sure you have enough funds to cover any added tip. You will also be charged surcharge at petrol pumps at the rate of 2.5% of the bill amount or Rs 10 whichever is higher. Service tax will be as applicable
Other websites where you make utility bill payments will ask for a service fee as well.
